Paul Richer is a Salt Lake City based photographer specializing in architectural and interior design, travelling to wherever, whenever he can, for work or pleasure. Growing up in New York City, Paul became interested in photography through his, mother who worked as a photo editor at TIME Magazine. It was here he was exposed to the eclectic crew of photojournalists that created pictures for a living and the frenetic and creative energy of the photographic industry. After college, while living in Montana, Paul was introduced to the commercial side of the industry, picking up work as an assistant and travelling throughout the western states and beyond. Eventually the good life in Montana came to a close in order to attend the Brooks Institute of Photography and gain the technical skills needed / wanted to move forward. Being a highly meticulous person, he gravitated towards architectural and interior work, which has kept him busy for the past two decades. Paul is always up for having his abilities tested, be it ice climbing, mountain biking (some of his favorite hobbies) or composing and lighting challenging spaces for his clients.
